Deer Park School Buys Computers (07/16/07)

Deer park school board members have agreed to purchase new computers and a software system that will allow parents to view information about their children and the school on the Internet.

The system will allow real-time student record-keeping with access from anywhere the Internet is available.

For example, parents will be able to use a password and look up their children's grades, attendance, assignments, discipline, lunch balances and other things.

For teachers and administrators, the program will provide a centralized database that will make data entry simplified and allow for more comprehensive reporting.
